The Casablanca

Casablanca, Morocco, 1963

The Azoulay side of our family is originally from Casablanca, Morocco. Eight course meals, spirited conversations in French, Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic, and the familiar, “In my country honey…we did it like this.”
We would go as far to say that nobody can compare with Meme Alegria’s Les Pasteles, La Dafina, couscous, keftas, chicken with raisins, and macaroons. As with many “old country” chefs, the secret ingredient is always…love.
Bon appetite!
