Fan Specifics

Q) What is the fan size?
A) The grilles measure approximately 12 ¼” high by 14 ½” wide.
The rear housing measures 12 ¾” high x 14 ¼” wide.
The diameter of the duct is 10 ½”.

Q) How loud is the fan?
A) When operated by a speed controller, the fan ranges from 1.4 sones to 4.8 sones. It's important to note that the sound you hear from a propeller blade is different than the sound you hear from a squirrel cage.  Our fans sound more like a summer cooling fan rather than a typical bathroom fan.

Q) How do you control the fan?
A) The fan has been approved for use with any solid state speed controller, or you may use a separate on-off switch. We highly recommend using a solid state speed controller, as the varying speeds not only add to the beauty of the visible blade, but also allow you to match the airflow for your specific needs.

Q) Is there any plastic on your fan?
A) No.  All of the components are made of aluminum and steel.

Q) How heavy is it?
A) A complete fan is approximately 12 to 14 pounds.

Fan Installation:

Q) Can your fans be installed in both the wall and the ceiling?
A) Our fan that we currently offer, model 105D, is a through-wall fan only.

Q) What is the height requirement for the fan?
A) The fan must be installed at a minimum height of 7 feet above the floor.  If there is a countertop or major appliance (e.g., dishwasher) that serves as a barrier, the fan may be installed at a minimum height of 5 feet above the floor.

Q) Who will install my fan?
A) The installation work and electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person(s).  We do not provide installation.

Q) How long does an installation take?
A) Depending on the experience of the installer, the average time is about two to three hours. The owner's manual has detailed descriptions, and photos, of each step.

Q) Is this only a bathroom fan or can I install it in other rooms?
A) Our fans are for general ventilation use only: i.e., bathrooms and kitchens.  Our fans are not used to exhaust oil, grease, chemicals, hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

Q) Can I install the fan above my bathtub or shower.
A) No, this fan is not been rated for wet locations.

Fan Returns, Exchanges and Warranty

Q) What is your warranty?
A) We offer a 2 year limited Warranty.
