The Prairie

Nezperce, 1950

In the late 1800’s, the Thompson and Osterhout side of our family traveled west to homestead in the rolling wheat fields of the Nezperce Prairie.
Grandma’s cherished stories about that time we can only imagine; no electricity, outhouses, walking 5 miles to a one room school house - and back - (in the snow). These are the kind of hardworking people that paved our path; we strive to make the most of their road.
